PRO TIPS

• Don't thread this in until it's flush with the part, the threads aren't designed to seat all the way in, and forcing it risks snapping the stem. Hand-tight is sufficient.
• Thermal paste on the sensing head before mounting improves heat transfer by filling microscopic surface imperfections, it's a conductor, not a glue, so it won't help hold the thermostat in place if the threads are stripped.
