2023 Sea Sun Pinot Noir 750ml

From the same family behind Caymus, one of California's most iconic names in wine. Sea Sun Pinot Noir is Charlie Wagner's love letter to the California coast, sourced from premier coastal appellations stretching several hundred miles from Suisun Valley near Napa all the way down to Santa Barbara County. Each region contributes something distinct: Monterey County delivers lush, fully ripened fruit; Solano County lends richness and depth; San Luis Obispo County adds roundness on the palate. Together, they produce a Pinot Noir that is both approachable and layered.

Cooling Pacific breezes and long growing seasons allow the grapes to ripen slowly, preserving freshness while building expressive aromatics and silky texture. Individual vineyard lots are fermented separately, then blended and lightly aged in a combination of new and neutral French oak, adding warmth and structure without masking the wine's vibrant fruit character.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Deep and inviting with baked cherries, raspberry, vanilla, and warm brown spice, layered with dry earth, clove, toasted wood, a hint of s'mores, and subtle flinty graphite.
Palate: Bright and fruit-driven with lush cherry, raspberry, and ripe plum, balanced by fresh acidity and a plush, velvety texture. Notes of milk chocolate, forest floor, and a whisper of oak spice add depth and complexity.
Finish: Long and lingering with soft tannins, warm spice, and a clean, silky fade.
