A combination of beech and poplar make up the core of the SC OREA which creates a great blend of lightweight forgiveness with supportive and energy packed performance. Supporting the core are two full titanal laminates that provide vibration damping and torsional stiffness for vibration damping, smoothness, and edge grip on firm snow. Flex Torsion Control technology is also implemented into the titanal laminates where single slits are milled into the sheets in the tips and tails to allow for some articulation. This articulation translates directly to a more forgiving feel without sacrificing edge grip during a carved turn. Solid Metal Edges are used with are thicker than conventional edge for longevity in terms of being able to get more tunes out of the ski over its lifetime. Racing Sidewall Black sidewalls are used which are stiffer than typical sidewalls which increase power transmission to the edges and stiffen the ski's overall flex. Full Edge Contact shaping is used by placing the widest parts of the skis to the tips and tail to maximize the length of its effective edge. Size Optimized Construction refers to tailoring the construction of the skis based on length to provide similar characteristics across all the lengths.
