OVERVIEW:
The Ascaso Steel Uno V2 Versatile Professional is a state of the art home-model espresso machine that is particularly designed for ESE coffee pods. Built from high-quality stainless steel, it is a superior choice for offices and on-the-go coffee drinkers. It also includes a stainless steel steam wand that is ideal for crafting velvety cappuccinos and lattes. The clear, two-liter water reservoir enables visual access to the water level as well as easy maintenance, refill, and cleaning.
Version 2 boasts multiple overhauls over its predecessor:
- a) A 3.35-inch increase in cup height between portafilter and dip tray.
- b) Water reservoir is easier to clean and refill with its lateral removable feature. Made with clear material, it enables you to check the water level from the right side of the machine.
- c) Now made of stainless steel, the steam wand is multi-directional and features a cool touch, which lets you handle the wand after steaming milk.
- d) The wand is equipped with a rubber protector that enables holding it for a longer time.
- e) The nickel-plated, 325cL brass boiler incorporates a specialized three-way solenoid valve.
- f) The 58mm portafilter allows a 10-degree tilt to provide ergonomic handling.
- g) The portafilter handle features a non-slip grip.
- h) The machine is equipped with a solid aluminum tamper.
- i) The filter baskets are thoroughly polished and are characterized by microfine, smooth holes that allow better extraction compared to previous baskets.

- Brass boiler is located directly over the brass grouphead for superior temperature stability compared to boilers that are offset from the grouphead.
- Ergonomic-styled brass filter handle with plastic grip.
- Slide out drip tray made of plastic for easy cleaning (please note drip tray cover is part of machine). Front portion of pull out drip tray is in brushed stainless steel.
- Four selection switches: power on/off, espresso extracting, hot water, and coffee/steam mode.
- Vent in top rear of machine allow heat near water reservoir to escape.
- Blue lights (left to right) indicate power, heating (on when heating in coffee or steam mode), pump for hot water on, and steam mode (on when machine is in steam mode).
- Three-way solenoid valve allows the immediate removal of the filter handle when the espresso extraction is completed. The three way valve also allows the user to backflush the grouphead.
- Multi-directional steam wand allows the desired angle of the steam wand into the steaming pitcher (recommended size 20 oz or less) on counter or placement over drip tray.
- Passive cup warmer on top with side guard rails (top back rail was removed for the US market)

- Ascaso provides a 57mm tamper so it can reach deeper into the basket and in case one chooses to utilize different baskets where a 58mm will not fit.
- This machine is designed for use with ESE pods. For espresso machines that can best use ground coffee, take a look at the Professional Ascaso models (Professional PID).
