The Atago 3442 PR-101α Palette is a digital refractometer that measures Brix (0.0 to 45.0%) concentration of liquid samples with high measurement accuracy at + or - 0.1% Brix, automatic temperature compensation (ATC), a user-scale function, and external light interference (ELI). A refractometer measures the refractive index of a liquid or solid in a sample, converts it to concentration in units of percent by weight, and displays the results. Refractometers are commonly used in the optical, chemical, geological, ecological, culinary, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, and educational industries, and for water-testing applications.This refractometer features a user-scale function to input the coefficient into a formula (concentration = Brix X coefficient), and display concentrations of each type of sample.
