Balvenie 17 Year Old Peated Cask

Limited edition mix of Balvenie matured in traditional American oak casks and then re-racked into casks which previously contained 2001 vintage peated Balvenie.

William Grant converted the ruins of Balvenie House into Balvenie malt whisky distillery in 1892 in order to meet the global demand for William Grant’s Scottish Speyside malt whisky and blended scotch. Balvenie Distillery is situated near Balvenie Castle and the River Fiddich in Scotland’s Speyside whisky region and is one of the few Scottish distilleries to malt barley on its own malt floors and to dry its malted barley over a peat fire in its own malt kiln. Visitors can enjoy an in-depth Balvenie scotch whisky experience and distillery tour. Balvenie Distillery is also a participant in the popular Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival.

Nose: Gentle floral aroma with hints of violet and lavender. Delicate smoke beautifully balanced with honeyed vanilla and spicy oakiness. Palate: Prominent smoke softens to reveal oaky honey and vanilla. Cinnamon and nutmeg develop with time.
