Banhez Ensemble Joven (84 Proof) is a 90% Espadín / 10% Barril mezcal artesanal from the Banhez co-operative in Oaxaca — delightfully mild, floral, and fruity with notes of pineapple and banana. An ideal introduction for first-time mezcal tasters and a versatile base for cocktails.
Banhez is produced by Integradora Comercial de Ejutla, a co-operative of 36+ families in San Miguel Ejutla, Oaxaca, committed to sustainable, fair-trade mezcal made as it has been for nearly two centuries — underground wood-fired pits, donkey-pulled stone tahonas, wooden-tank fermentation, and small-batch copper distillation.
