Barrell Bourbon Batch 029

Barrell Bourbon Batch 029 is a cask strength multi-state bourbon blend — herbal and viscous Indiana bourbon as the base, expanded with 6- and 7-year-old rye-grain Kentucky bourbon for exotic cinnamon spice, 9- and 10-year wheated Kentucky bourbon for floral character, and a small touch of 6-, 14-, and 16-year Tennessee bourbon for fruity nose and a long, oxidative finish. Roasted pumpkin in color, flecked with bright gold.

Barrell Craft Spirits sources individually selected barrels from multiple states and blends them into limited, batch-numbered bourbon releases at cask strength. Batch 029 leans into multi-state complexity for an unusually expressive, perfume-forward profile.

Tasting Notes

• Appearance: Roasted pumpkin, flecked with bright gold
• Nose: Brown-sugar-laced oatmeal and freshly conditioned leather opening; with air, Williams pear, cantaloupe, and mulled wine develop. From a rocks glass: tangerine, dried papaya, mint tea with honeycomb. Herbs follow — basil, dill, wasabi powder — settling into Pedro Ximénez sherry character with rosewater, treacle tart, and boiled cider.
• Palate: Unmistakably cask strength — a bright, pithy lime cordial note rounded by Mirabelle plum and sugar snap pea. As the palate acclimates: affogato, molasses, and roasted mixed nuts.
• Finish: Bold salinity recalling soft pretzel; fading into milk chocolate and shredded coconut.
