OVERVIEW:

During the first week of June 2022, Kenny & Ryan held the inaugural "PURSUIT PALOOZA" hosting over 100 Patreon Members.  We tried to pack as much barrel selection activity into that week.  On Wednesday, June 1st, we headed over to Wild Turkey for 4 Russell's Reserve barrels, Thursday, June 2nd was 2 barrels from Four Roses, and we capped the week off on Friday, June 3rd with 2 barrels from Barrell Craft Spirits.

Fellow Patreon members and Palooza attendees Bret Marquardt, Andrew Mettman rounded out the selection team alongside Kenny & Ryan.  Barrell Craft Spirits always takes us on a flavor journey pushing the envelope with super creative and yummy barrel finishes and blends.  The team came away with 2 spectacular selections, a four-part blend of straight bourbon whiskeys, and a blend of whiskeys finished in a cognac cask.  Enjoy our Bourbon Blend Selection we are calling "REGRET".

Blend D58C, Proof 114.52, 57.26% ABV.  45% 5-year, 40% 7-year, 10% 10-year, 5% 17-year.  Blending components are distilled in Kentucky, Indiana & Tennessee.

TASTING NOTES:

• Nose:  There are many facets to this nose to try and unravel: orange cream candies, caramel, rye bread, spumoni ice cream, and cinnamon.
• Palate:  The palate greets you with just as many angles as the nose: graham cracker, brown sugar, musty oak, caramel-covered orange, baking spice, and tons of vanilla sweetness.
• Finish:  The finish lingers lightly spiced, but long trailing with sweet oak, maraschino cherries, and pecan pie. A real treat to sip on.
