(79% Mourvèdre, 18% Carignan, 3% Grenache)

The nose opens with a aroma set of strawberry, watermelon, grapefruit, red flowers, spice and delicate mint notes. On the palate this has a good sense of texture while still maintaining a zippy acidity and a flavor set that echoes the nose. OVERVIEW: “This year’s Lulu is one of my favorite vintages we’ve made. Sourced largely (79%) from 100+-year-old Mourvèdre grown in the deep sands of Oakley, the wine also includes a bit of equally old Carignan from Evangelho Vineyard and a drop of perfumed Grenache from Bedrock Vineyard."

TASTING: "Pale salmon-pink in color and grapefruit-, white peach-, and tarragon-scented, the wine does what I love most about great rosé—it is both dense and satisfyingly mouth-filling while also having an almost ineffable buoyancy and lightness in its weighting. Complex but highly drinkable, be it from bottle or box.”
