Bieler Family Daisy Pinot Grigio 2021 - 750ML

Charles Bieler is a winemaking adventurer of sorts. His story began in the south of France where he and his father (former owner of Chateau Routas) focus on rosé at Bieler Pere et Fils. Charles has numerous international projects as well, including a strong connection to Washington State viticulture. It is from the general Columbia Valley vicinity that Bieler Family's "Daisy" Pinot Grigio originates. On many levels this is not your mom's Pinot Grigio. First of all it's not a mono-varietal wine, but is actually a co-fermentation of PG with small doses of Sauvignon Blanc, Moscato and Riesling. That combo takes this wine to a whole new level of texture and flavor with subtle floral aromatics, a mouth-filling fleshy-ness, ripe yellow fruits and a convincingly dry finish. Maybe more of a Pinot Gris than a Grigio in style, Daisy is certainly yummy and well worth a try.
