Boann Single Pot Still Madeira Cask Irish Whiskey

**Distillery Tasting Notes** Initially matured in ex-Bourbon barrels crafted from American Oak (Quercus Alba) sourced from the renowned Brown Forman of Kentucky, these 200-liter casks underwent heavy charring. We filled them with a diverse Single Pot Still distillate, featuring a mash bill of malted barley, unmalted barley, oats, and rye—all grown locally in Ireland. In collaboration with the esteemed Madeira house, Justino’s, we secured some of their finest vintage Madeira casks. These included Tinta Negro (1998 & 2000), Boal (1999), and Sercial (1999, 2000 & 2006) Madeira Colheita wine single varietals. This opportunity arose from a longstanding friendship cultivated through a previous special collaboration.
