Iterating on the success of Bonavita's previous designs, this brewer incorporates elements that made the Exceptional Brew so popular while introducing several new features to improve the quality of your coffee. The result is a simple yet incredibly capable brewer geared toward brewing smaller pots of 4 - 5 cups of coffee.

To start with new features, this time around the 5-cup thermal carafe has been been lined with stainless steel instead of glass. The double walled design of the carafe helps to maintain the temperature of your coffee for a longer duration while the steel lining is now shatterproof. Another new feature exclusive to this brewer is the optional pre-infusion function. When switched on the machine will pre-soak your coffee prior to brewing allowing your grounds to de-gas. The angled filter basket uses #4 cone-shaped filters and the large showerhead ensures even wetting of your grounds to guarantee proper extraction. The showerhead, filter basket, and carafe lid are all dishwasher safe and all plastic is BPA-free.

With regards to brewing, the optimal brewing range of 195°-205°F is observed thanks to the powerful 1500 watt heater. This precise range is in accordance with SCAA standards and secured a place for the brewer as a part of their Certified Home Brewer Program. Making coffee is as simple as filling the reservoir, putting coffee in the basket and pressing the brew button. For ease of measurement, the reservoir has been labeled with 3, 4, and 5 cup increments.
