Bowmore The Darkest 15YR Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Bowmore 15 Year Old Darkest Single Malt Scotch Whisky is matured in a combination of casks that were previously used to mature bourbon and casks that were previously used to mature Oloroso Sherry (the final three years of maturation are spent exclusively in sherry casks). As a result, the whisky has an aroma of dark-chocolate, sun-dried mango and papaya and Islay smoke. The aroma gives way to notes of rich toffee, dark fruits, apples and citrus on the palate, that are complemented by a subtle undertone of cedar. The finish is robust and complex, with a touch of sherry.

Bowmore Darkest earned a score of 92 points from Wine Enthusiast and the Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2013.
