Briottet Crème de Bergamote Liqueur

Briottet Crème de Bergamote is a bergamot orange liqueur from Edmond Briottet in Dijon, France (est. 1836) — made from Italian bergamot oranges, a hybrid of bitter orange and lime grown primarily in Calabria. Only the zest is used to extract the essential oil, which is the same source used to flavor Earl Grey tea and the traditional French “bergamote de Nancy” candies.

Briottet is one of the oldest French liqueur houses, with the crème liqueur range consistently cited by bartenders as the quality benchmark for fruit and citrus liqueurs. The Crème de Bergamote brings a slightly acidic, bittersweet citrus character with subtle spice — well-suited to cocktail use as a sophisticated alternative to standard orange liqueurs, in tea-themed builds, or in Earl Grey–inspired drinks.
