Cambio Gin Barrel Experiment Reposado Tequila (750 ml)

Our tequila is the culmination of this dedication and a rejection of “good enough” and “that’s just the way it’s always been done.” Founded by classically trained chef and sommelier John des Rosiers, Cambio is a distillation of classic tequila tradition filtered through the culinary science and restless craftsmanship of a 30-year veteran of the world’s finest kitchens and bars. 

For our second rare and extremely limited release, we’ve utilized a very special finishing barrel from one of America’s most amazing rye whiskey distillers that also dabbles in gin. Starting with a base of our Blanco Tequila, we finish the spirit in rye whiskey barrels that have also been used to age gin, resulting in a wonderful bouquet of botanicals balanced by bold rye spice. This intriguing release is bottled at cask strength with no dilution, and will be released as a series, the first being aged for 4 months, then eight months, then twelve.

Tasting Notes: Elegance and complexity when first opened, playful aromas between gin spice and roasted agave. Blonde caramel and toasted brioche perfume with an undertone of intense honey cooked agave. Notes of fresh thyme, orange peel. Dense texture and a very long finish
