The Oriental Hornbeam has small shiny green leaves with twisted branches and stems giving the tree an interesting winter aspect. This tree is slow-growing and hardy. Great landscape choice for smaller gardens!
When choosing a location, keep in mind that the Oriental Hornbeam has a slow growth rate. It grows up to 25 feet in height and 20 feet in spread. It can be planted in zones 4 to 7. Will grow in sun to shade and most soil types. Fairly drought tolerant.
