The Ritchie Vineyard is one of the ‘Grand Crus’ of the Russian River Valley and is the source for some of THE best Chardonnays in California. The fruit is highly coveted by winemaking legends Mark Aubert and David Ramey, and Russell’s Ritchie Vineyard Chardonnay is the most intense of them all. It’s a wine with bags of cellaring potential, yet its opulence is going to make it hard to resist opening early on.
