The flagship of the estate is the 100% Syrah 2018 Cotes Catalanes Ipso Facto, which comes from three separate terroirs and is vinified all in new barrels. Not yet bottled, it has a fresh, vibrant style yet still packs plenty of oomph in its currants, fresh plums, crushed rocks, and spice-driven aromas and flavors. Full-bodied, beautifully concentrated, and opulent, it stays weightless on the palate, has polished tannins, beautifully integrated oak, and a great finish. It's a blockbuster from this estate that will be approachable right out of the gate yet keep for a decade or more.
