Our Cherry floating shelves are natural Cherry wood veneer on multi layered solid poplar core for ultimate strength and dimensional stability. Finished with premium quality low-sheen clear conversion varnish. All shelves are made to order. (minimum size is 3" X 9", maximum is 16"X 93") These shelves are 1-3/4” thick.

Cherry trees (Prunus avium) are found in Europe, western Asia and parts of northern Africa. The finest Cherry timbers come from Pennsylvania. Cherry has long been desirable for fine furniture and cabinetry. When freshly milled the wood has a light pink or salmon color, with exposure to light and age the color deepens to a rich reddish brown with golden tones. Very little texture, beautiful grain and figure.

Our custom floating shelves come with our own mega strong Übermächtig hardware. Lots of advanced DIY’ers have successfully installed our shelves however keep in mind some installations may require tools and skills that are beyond most DIY’ers in which case it’s a job for a seasoned and skilled finish carpenter.
