When I was a junior firefighter at Fleetwood Fire Company, breakfasts around the firehouse table were part of what made the station feel like home. There was something special about sharing a big breakfast before the day got underway—or before the next call interrupted it.

The familiar aroma of cinnamon, maple syrup, butter, vanilla, and warm French toast stayed with me. Years later, those firehouse breakfasts became the inspiration for Frenchie.
