Pure Grip Compound
Based on the activated silica compound, we worked purposefully towards a compound technology in the performance segment. After intensive development work, the result of Continental's Korbacher research and development department brought about a new compound technology with excellent grip and cross-country skiing properties. The new rubber compound with the self-explanatory name PureGrip ranks behind Continental's BlackChili Compound and is used in performance products in the race and mountain bike segments. Here it ensures long-lasting traction and high mileage of Continental tires, which are exclusively manufactured in the production plant in Hefei (Asia).

Shield Wall system
The ShieldWall system combines the optimal combination of high puncture protection and the best smooth running with low weight. This is made possible by an additional, all-round puncture protection layer, which consists of a finely woven cross fabric. This gives the tire high resistance to punctures and injuries. Despite the additional layer, the tire has very good damping properties and is highly flexible, allowing it to adapt perfectly to the ground. The revolutionary Tubeless Ready foot allows easy and uncomplicated mounting of the tire. Conti Revo-Sealant seals reliably.
