Copper Fox Port Barrel Rye Whisky

Our original rye whisky, aged with a progressive series of hand toasted, select seasoned, new and used applewood and oak chips inside a used bourbon barrel, transferred to a second used bourbon barrel and then finished in used port style wine barrels from neighboring Virginia wineries. This process results in a slightly sweeter and darker rye yet still maintains some spice.

TASTING NOTES
Color: Burnished mahogany
Nose: Aromas of dark berries, baking chocolate, tobacco, new cowhide, and black tea.
Palate: An oily and elegant body with notes of orchard fruit, dark raisin, and red licorice is balanced with ample oak, baking cinnamon, and clove and interlaced with a delicate smokiness.
