Crafted from a rarer combination of casks, Craigellachie 17 is a classic example of the distillery's unapologetic, distinct style: smooth and mellow in flavour with rich, silky notes of exotic fruits.
This single malt is initially matured in a mixture of ex-Bourbon and ex-Sherry casks. 50% is finished in first-fill Sherry casks, the rest in first-fill Bourbon.
Nose: Treacle and dark honey, vanilla pod and coffee.
Palate: Soft, bittersweet notes with a hint of black pepper, treacle toffee and dark chocolate.
Finish: Lingering finish, warming, slightly pepper and tannins.
