A great 2007 Craigellachie matured and bottled Gordon & MacPhail for their Cask Strength, Connoisseurs Choice range.
Spirit entrusted to G&M from the Craigellachie distillery was then matured for 16 years in a single refill sherry puncheon, #900582. The cask was closely monitored and only bottled when deemed ready in August 2024 at a whopping strength of 64.5% abv.
A rich and complex whisky with layers flavour. Blackcurrant notes combine with Demerara sugar and clementine. The finish is full with charred oak and dark forest fruit notes to enjoy.
