Soul of a Lion is the crown jewel of the DAOU portfolio — the ultimate expression of Cabernet Sauvignon from the high-elevation terroir of DAOU Mountain in Paso Robles. The 2023 vintage opens with lavish aromas of blueberry, plum, cherry pie, thyme, and vanilla bean, accented by toasted oak, smoked meat, coconut, and crème brûlée. The palate delivers waves of boysenberry, blackberry, chocolate-covered cherry, and baking spice with a generous, seamless mouthfeel and beautifully polished tannins cascading into a deep, stunning finish. A blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Cabernet Franc, and 6% Petit Verdot.
