Dark Honey is an exceptional experimental microlot from the historic Udayagiri Estate, nestled in the Western Ghats of Chikkamagaluru. Established in 1925, the estate cultivates Arabica coffee under a rich canopy of native shade trees, allowing the cherries to ripen slowly and develop remarkable sweetness and complexity.

Processed using the Black Honey method, the coffee cherries are depulped while retaining almost all of their natural fruit mucilage before being carefully sun-dried on raised beds. This slow drying process allows the sugars from the fruit to interact with the beans, producing a cup with vibrant fruit character, syrupy sweetness and a smooth, rounded body while maintaining excellent clarity.

Expect a beautifully balanced cup with notes of red cherry, ripe peach, honey and soft caramel, complemented by bright acidity and a silky mouthfeel. We recommend brewing it as a Pour Over, AeroPress or V60 to experience the coffee's full sweetness and fruit-forward character.
