Derrumbes Mezcal is thoroughly exploring the concept of terroir as it applies to mezcal, with bottles representing the unique flavors of the major mezcal producing regions of Mexico. Durango is a northeastern state that costs an ample supply of wild Agave Durangensis, used in the production of this bottling. Maestro Mezcalero Uriel Simental uses a strict traditional method to roast and ferment the agave, and then distills it in small copper pot stills. The result is a true expression of the region, with tropical fruits and a smokey pinewood backbone.
