Chassagne-Montrachet is known for its white wines but we must never forget the history. For many years, the Chassagne appellation produced red wines. This vintage offers what I particularly appreciate in Burgundy. The color is subtle, the tannins are delicate, and the bouquet is intense and complex. In terms of style, I like to compare it to Pommard Clos des Poutures. As the reputation of the red Chassagne is not that of the whites, it is an excellent quality/price ratio from the estate that I recommend you put in your cellar.
