Blended from tequila aged a minimum of five years — with components as old as twelve — it matures entirely in French oak barrels sourced from Burgundy, Bordeaux, the Loire Valley, and Napa before a finishing period in Oloroso sherry casks from Spain, a European-inflected approach Enrique Fonseca developed after studying distillation in Scotland and France. Like everything from the family's La Tequileña distillery (NOM 1146), it's built from 100% estate-grown highland agave, verified additive-free, and bottled at 40% ABV. It was named Tequila of the Year at the London Spirits Competition with a 93-point score.
