The Dràm Mòr 10 Year Old Guyanese Rum was distilled at the Diamond Distillery in 2011, aged in ex-bourbon barrels and finished in first-fill Buffalo Trace barrels for five months.
Total worldwide outturn: 282 bottles.
Producer Tasting Notes
Nose: Guyanan funk in abundance, dirty, smelly and wonderful. Molasses, caramel, honey and fresh-dug soil with the merest hint of fruit hiding in terror from the Funk.
Palate: Like a mouthful of molasses and sailors’ tears. Liquorice, white pepper and just the vaguest hint of vanilla. A really weighty rum that sits heavily in the mouth.
Finish: Pepper (white, black and pink). A bit hot with an undelicate molasses punch.
