If you are driving one of the best cranks on the market, you should also use an optimized bearing. That was Easton's approach when developing the bottom bracket for the EC90 SL crank unit. And so the engineers tried in numerous tests to find the optimal ratio of good sealing and little bearing resistance. They also experimented with different fat viscosities and filling quantities in the bearings until the best result was found. To verify the results, the bearings were subjected to extensive test series under laboratory conditions and on the road.
