Elements of Islay - Sherry Cask

Elements of Islay Sherry Cask is an Islay blended malt whisky that is matured in first fill and refill Sherry butts and hogsheads and is bottled at a higher strength of 54.5% to fully showcase the whisky’s natural personality.

The flavours from the south coast distillery bring dried fruits and dark chocolate, while adding bright lemon and Arbroath smoky notes from the north coast distillery.

Nose: Damp cedar and leafy Dutch pipe tobacco. Citrus and dark Indian tea.

Palate: Figs, raisins, fresh organic ginger and 70% dark chocolate. Stewed plums with orange zest lead into the sweet smokiness.

Finish: Medium length, forest floor, sea spray, characteristic Islay peat (bandaids) and lingering tobacco.
