Elijah Craig 18 Year Old Single Barrel Bourbon is part of a series of bourbons named after the reverend Elijah Craig, who was a well-renowned master distiller, Baptist preacher, entrepreneur, and educator. In 1789, a fire accidentally charred some barrels, which dramatically altered the whisky inside and significantly improved its flavor. This moment marked the beginning of a new era in bourbon production, and Craig earned the title of "The father of bourbon." Over the years, he refined his barrel charring methods, resulting in a blend that is still savored 250 years later. The unique spirit is bottled solely from the contents of one barrel that have been aged for eighteen years, making it a must for any bourbon connoisseur. It is crafted at the historic Heaven Hill Distillery, still family-owned by the Shapira Family, located in Bardstown, Kentucky.
