From the Manufacturer This Adjustable Web Restraint Lanyard features a StayPut buckle that allows it to adjust up to 12-feet and eliminate unnecessary free-fall. This lanyard uses single-leg construction and utilizes a 1-Inch polyester webbing for resistance to UV light and abrasion with a tensile strength of 9,800-Pounds. There are double-locking snap hooks at the attachment and anchorage ends, with both ends featuring a steel thimble for extra resistance to wear. The end terminations feature wear pads for additional safety and long life. The Shock Absorbing Lanyard is the active component of a Personal Fall Arrest System. Shock Absorbing Lanyards are part of a category of goods referred to as Connecting Devices, which are intended to connect the back D-ring of you Full Body Harness to the anchorage at your work position. In the event of a fall, a Shock Absorbing Lanyard will not only arrest the fall, preventing you from hitting the next lower level, they will reduce the forces of impact on your body.
