Foursquare Single Blended Rum "Empery"

Foursquare’s Exceptional Cask Selections have garnered a cult following that is well-deserved. Empery is a blend of two 14-year-old rums, one aged for the full 14 years in bourbon barrels, and the other aged for 10 years in bourbon barrels and 4 years in Oloroso Sherry barrels. This is a very fruity Barbados rum with a mild hint of raisins and berries on the nose from the sherry casks. It is a very subtle contribution however, and the natural goodness of the rum easily shines through. The palate is dark and rich with notes of chocolate, oak, and vanilla. It is a complex spirit, revealing more nuance with each sip.
