Georges Island is the Nelson Sauvin-hopped entry to the Harbor Island Series. Presenting a sunny yellow color in the glass, aromas of juicy clementine and candied white grape burst on the nose. Each sip brings waves of white peach, grapefruit pith, and zesty orange. Finishing with just a touch of sweetness, Georges Island is balanced by a soft, earthy bitterness and moderate carbonation. Nestled in the bay just off the coast, Boston's Harbor Islands are rich with history and intrigue. Now. Georges Island is best known for its vast parade ground and historic Fort Warren. Active throughout the 1800s and 1900s, Fort Warren served many different purposes before being decommissioned and transferred to the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation. These days Georges Island welcomes city visitors for historic tours, group events, and the occasional old-time baseball game.
The Harbor Islands IPA series grew out of the exploration that took place in our Permutation Series but has evolved quite a bit as of late. Since their last appearance, we've tweaked the recipe, lightened up the color, and crafted an easier, more drinkable finish.
