Gian Luca Colombo - Nebbiolo - Lange DOC

Overview: My name is Gian Luca and I was born in the Langhe, the place where my passion for wine became a full-time job.

Nebbiolo d’Alba is a single vineyard production, few bottles from a 50 year old vineyard. Geologically Barolo, politically Nebbiolo, with the aim of show the uniqueness of its territory. My philosophy is to follow and understand what nature gave me, without any preconception or recepy to comply. In that way all works are done with a clear target: bring the grape variety, the territory and the vintage characteristic in the bottle. According to my ideas, every year the maceration time, the aging period, the containers used are different. My passion, my experience and feeling combined with the grapes wants to create emotions to whom taste this rare product.

Tasting Notes: Fresh and perfumed expression of Nebbiolo. The palate is filled with very pure ripe, juicy red and dark fruits with touches of spice and herby notes, ripe tannins, balanced with fresh acidity and finished with a long length.

Pairing: Braised lamb shoulder with rosemary and garlic.
