Probably spread by birds, the strawberry first grew wild in America, Asia and the mountainous areas of Western Europe during the Neolithic period. Coming from the Latin "Fragaria" (fragrance), it was used by the Romans for aesthetic purposes, for its pleasant smell and for its therapeutic virtues. The wild strawberry is smaller than the common strawberry and has a more powerful scent. Giffard Fraise de Bois brings the liveliness and acidity of the fruit to your cocktails.
