The Glenlivet Fusion Cask release was created by ageing the spirit in deconstructed first-fill bourbon and rum barrels, which were then reassembled into new "fusion casks." The result: sophisticated layers of flavour from both.
Founded in 1824, The Glenlivet continues to be one of the best-selling whiskies in the world. This Fusion Cask release offers a new and distinctive take on the classic Speyside whisky we all know and love.
While this expression is a fresh take on Glenlivet's traditional house style, the whisky maintains the distillery's DNA with rum notes adding a further layer of complexity.
Producer's Tasting Notes
Nose: Orange, vanilla custard, caramel, coconut and zest of lemon.
Palate: Notes of juicy apricot and peach, fresh apples, toffee-covered bananas and subtle cinnamon spice.
Finish: Sweet and smooth finish with enduring notes of orange.
