Bottled at cask strength, these single cask, non-chill-filtered expressions offer unique perspectives on distilleries’ own bottlings.
This 17 year old Ledaig, bottled for the Whisky Heathens, was distilled in 2007, bottled in 2024, and 100% aged in a first-fill sherry hogshead.
Nose: Dried figs and sweet vanilla, underpinned by the Ledaig signature coastal smoke.
Palate: Roasted chestnuts, raspberry compote and a zesty hint of tropical citrus. Cracked black pepper on the back palate.
Finish: The finish is long and medium-bodied. Charred oak and pepper linger to the end.
