Green Spot Chateau Montelena Irish Whiskey (750Ml)

This Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey is proudly made in Ireland by Irish Distillers at the Midleton Distillery for Mitchell & Son, the owners of the famous Spot Whiskey brand. It’s the second release in the “Wine Geese” series, following the Château Léoville Barton edition. The whiskey is first matured in a mix of American Bourbon and Oloroso Sherry barrels, then finished for 12 months in French oak Zinfandel wine casks from Château Montelena, a renowned winery in Napa Valley, California.

This special release pays tribute to the “Wine Geese” — Irish families who founded wineries around the world, including the Barrett family, who restored Château Montelena. Bottled at 46% ABV and non-chill filtered, it retains its full natural flavor and character. Although it has no age statement, it typically contains whiskey aged between seven and ten years.

The flavor is rich and layered, offering notes of oak, vanilla, white chocolate, red apples, ripe pears, pomegranate, and cranberries. It starts sweet and smooth, then develops a dry, spicy character with touches of citrus and red berries. The finish is long and balanced, combining pot still spice with a light wine influence. With a silky, slightly oily texture, it comes in a standard 750ml bottle.
