- Avoid thermal shock: Do not pour boiling water directly onto cold glass. Preheat the pot with warm water first, especially in winter.
- Wood canister lid: Wipe with a barely damp cloth. Once every few months, rub a drop of food-grade mineral oil to keep the wood from cracking.
- Ceramic filter: Rinse after each steep. Tea tannins stain ceramic over time, it is cosmetic, not functional. Soak in baking soda solution to lighten stains.
