Lyocell is a regenerated cellulose fiber, extruded into smooth, continuous threads rather than the wood pulp construction of traditional paper filters. That structural difference means significantly less surface area for lipid adhesion, allowing more oils to pass through. Since lipids carry aromatic compounds, the brew retains more aroma, more intensity, and more lasting flavor expression.
