The Jancy Slugger titanium nitride (TiN) coated cobalt steel annular cutter set includes 11 annular cutters with 2" depth and a 3/4" shank, one each of the following cutter diameters: 7/16", 1/2", 9/16", 5/8", 11/16", 3/4", 13/16", 7/8", 15/16", 1" and 1-1/16". The cutters create through holes as deep as 2" in a range of materials, with best performance in hard-to-machine materials as well as mild steel and stainless steel. The set also includes a pilot pin for 7/16" to 1/2" cutter diameters, a pilot pin for 9/16" to 1-1/16" cutter diameters, and a case. Cobalt steel can be run at faster speeds and stays sharp longer than high-speed steel tools, while offering resistance to heat and abrasion. The TiN coating combines stability at high temperatures with hardness for wear protection, increasing tool life and performance compared to uncoated tools. The cutting edges can be resharpened for longer tool life. Each cutter has a 3/4" shank to accommodate the 3/4" arbor of a magnetic drill or to connect to a drill press with an arbor assembly (sold separately).Drill bits are cutting tools used to make holes in a range of materials.
