Setting sail from Savannah towards the close of July, Jefferson’s Ocean Aged At Sea Voyage 11 embarked on an extraordinary journey. Its trajectory included voyaging southwards to the architectural marvel of the Panama Canal and then onward into the serene South Pacific. The ship sailed smoothly past paradisiacal Tahiti, then coasted by the rugged terrains of New Zealand and circumnavigated the vast Australian continent all the way to the port of Fremantle.

Journeying onward, the ship navigated through the somewhat turbulent South Australian Basin before placidity was restored. This adventure-laden voyage continued across the equator, moving northwards to the urban jungles of Singapore, the sprawling metropolis of Shanghai, followed by South Korea, and finally, the Land of the Rising Sun - Japan. The final leg was a tranquil cruise across the North Pacific, turning south to conclude in Long Beach with balmy air temperatures prevalent in the 80s.

A distinctive feature of Voyage 11 was the unusual calmness of the seas. Consequently, the bourbon nestled within had minimal interaction with the barrels, resulting in less contact with the wood.
