Kapriol Grapefruit & Hibiscus starts from the same 1948 Dry Gin recipe that built the whole Kapriol range, then takes a detour south: pink grapefruit and hibiscus flowers sourced from southern Italy join the classic alpine botanical bill of juniper, angelica, chamomile, cardamom, caraway, coriander, gentian, lavender, hops, mint, oregano, and rosehip. Everything infuses in wheat-based spirit before distillation in the distillery's own historical 1947 pot stills, built by artisan Antonio Padovan and still used today by master distiller Alessandro Maschio. The gin pours a natural salmon-pink hue straight from the botanicals — no added color. On the nose, fresh pink grapefruit and floral hibiscus lead, layered over citrus and light herbal tones with juniper underneath. The palate turns harmoniously bittersweet, with grapefruit and cranberry-like hibiscus balanced against classic juniper and fine spice. The finish runs medium-long, clean, and citrus-bright.
