Keenan Capstone Red Blend Napa Valley 2020

Turn lemons into lemonade. This could be an apt description for the start of this cuvee when a hard selection of fruit from the 2020 season left them without enough to support their traditional Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot bottlings. So combine them into a cuvee with both. This is made up of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon and 35% Merlot, all from their hillside estate. The nose opens with aromas of plum, cassis, cedar, and a beguiling hit of cocoa. The palate is just shy of moderate in weight with cedar leading the way to cassis and plum and a just there note of oak spice. D&M Tasting Notes July 2026
