OVERVIEW: "Named after a famously peaty loch overlooked by the
distillery, Loch Gorm is the only fully ex-sherry cask matured release in the Kilchoman range. Since it’s inception in 2012, a new edition of Loch Gorm has been released every year, each with its own unique balance of sherry influence and maturity. Bottles are differentiated by distillation and bottling years printed on the label.“

TASTING: "Loch Gorm combines rich sherry fruits and spices with smoldering peat, cloves, and lingering sweetness. NOSE - Waves of sweet BBQ smoke and cooked fruits with dark chocolate and dried figs; PALATE - Delicate peat smoke combined with honey roasted nuts, cinnamon and malted barley; FINISH - Fresh notes of citrus and rich toffee.” (46% ABV; 50 PPM/Heavily Peated)

REVIEWS: "Waves of smoky marmalade balance with aromas of black cherry, milk chocolate, and sanded oak: The smoke shows a satisfying peaty edge. The sherry cask has loaded this with dried fruit characteristics of sultana, cherry, and citrus peel, matched with chocolate, singed oak, and peat smoke. A big hit of cinnamon follows, rounding out with sugared nuts, cappuccino, blackberry, peppery peat smoke, and citrus peel to finish.”  - 92 PTS, WHISKY ADVOCATE (01/2024)
