Kilkerran 12 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky 700ml is a lightly peated Campbeltown single malt produced at Glengyle Distillery. Matured in a combination of 70% bourbon and 30% sherry casks, it balances bright fruit and sweetness with subtle smoke and the distinctive oily character associated with Campbeltown whisky.
The nose offers sweet confectionery, pear drops and marzipan with a gentle layer of peat smoke. On the palate, bright citrus and lemon cheesecake lead into an oily texture with peppery spice, smoke, leather and rich sticky toffee pudding.
The finish brings lingering campfire embers together with pecan pie and butterscotch. Bottled at 46% ABV, Kilkerran 12 Year Old offers an excellent introduction to the distillery's combination of fruit, texture, spice and restrained peat.
